WRQ Reflection X - ACNET Console User's Guide

Setup

These are things you need to setup in Reflection.

• Bring up WRQ Reflection X Manager
• In Settings->Security..., select Host Based Security, and edit the Host Access Security file. Add the Acnet console hosts to your list of authorized hosts.
• In Settings->Server..., make sure Backing Store is set to "By Request".
• Select Method: = Kerberized Telnet
• Enter Hostname: = outland.fnal.gov
• Enter Command: = launch linux FROM_IP:0 cnsrun mwm
• Enter Description: = Start ACNET Console
• Click "Advanced..." button, Click "Configure Kerberos" button and check "Reflection Kerberos" and "Forward Ticket".
• In "File" menu select "Save As"
• Click on "Shortcut..." and check "Create a shortcut when saving X client files." Select a place to save the shortcut. Click OK
• Enter Filename as "ACNET CnsRun". Click OK

Starting a console

• Start the WRQ Reflection X Manager
• Select the ACNET CnsRun shortcut.
• Click on "Connect"

Some other useful launch commands are:

• launch linux FROM_IP:0 cnsrun mwm # Starts an ACNET console and the Motif Window Manager.
• launch linux FROM_IP:0 'xterm >&/dev/null &' # Starts a Linux xterm on the user's assigned node.
